Day 1: Swan Valley Wine Region

Australia’s second oldest wine region, boasting some of the country’s oldest vines, is just a short 25-minute drive from Perth. The Swan Valley wine region is filled with world class wineries, artisan foods, top-notch restaurants, markets and galleries. Here, you can engage in a Bush Tucker talk, where you can learn about the local indigenous food and culture, as well as partake in a wine blending course.

Day 2: Perth Hills Wine Region

En route to the Perth Hills wine region, enjoy a picturesque landscape including a mix of bush land, wildflowers, creeks, and waterfalls. The boutique winemaking scene is owned and operated by progressive winemakers who operate charming cellar doors and restaurants. Make a reservation for lunch at the gorgeous Millbrook Estate where you can enjoy a picnic in their beautiful grounds with sweeping views of the surrounding Jarrah forests.

Day 3: Peel & Geographe Wine Regions

The Peel wine region is an emerging wine region. Located south of Perth, it stretches from the Indian Ocean to the Darling Range and beyond the Darling Plateau, offering diverse climatic conditions for viticulture. Apart from the stunning wines produced in the region, the river and coast yield an abundant supply of seafood, in particular the famous blue swimmer crabs of Mandurah. For crab lovers, the Mandurah Crabfest held every March is an event not to be missed! Grab some local seafood and head out to Peel Estate for a picnic in their beautiful grounds.

In the afternoon, head to the Geographe wine region, which offers diverse styles of Mediterranean and alternative varieties to explore. Travel through the Ferguson Valley and take in the rolling hills, grazing cattle, meandering streams. The variety of cellar doors and the quaint Gnomesville – home to thousands of gnomes from around the world – are not to be missed.

Day 4 & 5: Margaret River Region

The Margaret River wine Region is celebrated worldwide as a bucketlist destination, famous for its esteemed wines, gourmet produce, and breathtaking beaches.

Visit Vasse Felix - Margaret River’s first vineyard established in 1967. They have a selection of wine experiences, a restaurant, and an art gallery to keep you busy. Art enthusiasts will also love a visit to Leeuwin Estate, which boasts an art gallery, award-winning restaurant and cellar door.

Voyager Estate is a family-owned winery established in 1978 and holds 170 years of farming heritage. Their innovative approach to producing wine means that they will be Certified Organic by 2023. The vineyards at the Cullen Wines estate are grown using biodynamic techniques.

A smaller family-owned winery, Passel Estate believes in quality over quantity when it comes to producing their award-winning single vineyard wines. They make small amounts for their unique Tasting Room experiences where wine is often paired with artisan chocolate.

Day 6: Blackwood Valley Wine Region

Leave the coast behind and drive eastwards to Australia’s newest wine region, the Blackwood Valley, which incorporates four delightful towns: Bridgetown, Balingup, Boyup Brook and Nannup. The region is comprised of rolling hills and valleys, towering forests, open gardens, and the impressive Blackwood River. Call into Whimwood Estate in Nannup for lunch and try some of their award-winning wines. After lunch, take the picturesque drive through Bridgetown and down to Pemberton.

Day 7: Southern Forests Wine Region

The Southern Forests wine region encompasses some of the most beautiful natural landscapes, including skyscraping karri, jarrah, marri and tingle trees, and charming small towns. The region is often regarded as the food bowl of Western Australia. A wide variety of niche epicurean produce, including chestnuts, cherries, finger limes, ginseng, green tea, dairy products, beef, lamb, and the rare black Perigord truffle are grown here. To Indulge in the famous Manjimup truffles, book a meal at Truffle Hill – formerly known as Truffle and Wine Co.

Ampersand Estates is a beautiful new wine destination in Pemberton. The estate also features Rainfall Distillery – a boutique distillery focusing on artisanal vodkas and gins.

Day 8 & 9: Great Southern Wine Region

The Great Southern wine region runs east to west along Western Australia's rugged southern coastline. The towns are steeped in history, with five distinct sub-regions of Albany, Denmark, Frankland River, Mount Barker, and Porongurup offering unique, fine wine experiences.

Start your wine tasting experience in bustling Albany at Wignalls Wines before heading to Oranje Tractor Wine, where you’ll learn about organic farming methods at the sustainable vineyard.

In Mount Barker, you can visit the first grapevine plantings in the Great Southern at Forest Hill Vineyard. Then head to Denmark, a relaxed “village town” full of majestic hills dotted with a patchwork of wineries.


If you’re after wineries with epic views, the Porongurup Range offers breathtaking views of the luxurious karri forest from over 2,000 feet up. The humble Castle Rock Estate, Ironwood Estate, and Abbey Creek Estate are cellar doors that welcome drop-in guests for wine tastings here.
